About Me

Dr. Haas earned his B.S. in Psychology (’87) and his M.D. (’90) from the University of Michigan. He completed his Internship at Duke, his Residency in Adult Psychiatry and his Fellowship in Child Psychiatry (’95) at the University of Florida. He has 25 years of clinical experience and is one of the very few Psychiatrists in Florida who is Board Certified in Adult, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

The focus of Dr. Haas’ practice is to bring about changes by using methods of psychotherapy. These changes include resolution of conflict and symptoms that create stress which lead to psychiatric and emotional difficulties. When indicated, psychopharmacology is used to help alleviate symptoms associated with specific illnesses while psychotherapy addresses the underlying causative factors.

Dr. Haas keeps his practice small, so he is able to devote more individual time to each case. All Individual, Marital, and Family Therapy are performed by the doctor himself.
